2. Answer 11 questions given to me by said nominators
3. Choose some new nominees with a smaller blog following (going to be hard for me, because let's face it, I've got a pretty small following!)
4. Clue the new nominees in, letting them know they're being nominated
5. Ask the new nominees 11 new questions
I tried to pick blogs that were around my size, with less than 30 followers. Here are my lovely nominees you should all check out:
1. Lindsey at Prescription for Preppy (her great style makes for fabulous What I'm Wearing posts!)
2. Morgan at Pampers and Pearls (fashionista/ "retired teacher"/ mommy.... living the dream!)
3. Nicole at Keep Calm and Coco On (this blog is just too pretty!)
4. Ashley at Purple and Pearls (love reading what other college girls are up to!)
5. Chloe at Wanderlust in the Midwest (anyone who loves travel as much as I do has my heart!)
6. Marshe at Mem and Co (fellow South Carolinian with phenom style!
Last time, I shared my questions and answers from Elisabeth at My Cup of Sparkle, and this time, I'm sharing questions from Megan at Megan Leigh, and Mary at Eat, Drink, and Be Mary.
Megan's Questions:
1. How did you come
up with your blog name?
I really wanted something clever with alliteration, and
obviously the “clever” part didn’t really work out… However, it describes me
pretty well, and I think it will stay with me as my blog and I evolve. No
matter where I am in life (single, married, having mini people running around),
I’ll always be a girl growing up.
2. Why did you start
blogging?
Like I said in my last Liebster post, I had the opportunity
to blog for Wofford College back in the day, and I got hooked. I realized I
missed it last spring, and started my own blog!
3. What is your
favorite post that you've ever written? (Please provide link)
Hmm, I really like the post “When God Speaks” because of the
meaningful content, but I also liked my novel post on my Cooper River Bridge Run experience! It was obnoxiously long, but I only wrote it because I remember
searching for a post that would give me details on the race, and I couldn’t
find it! I love looking on blogs to make plans for things, and I thought maybe
one day it could help someone out who needed more details about the run!
4. If you could live
anywhere in the world, where would you choose to live and why?
Right now, I’d love to pack all my bags and move to Paris or
Siena (my littles are studying abroad there and having the times of their
lives!), but long-term, probably Fort Mill, South Carolina. Yes, it’s where I
grew up, but I love how close it's close enough to a city (Charlotte, NC) that it has great shopping and food, but far enough that traffic isn't as horrific. (And just to be lame, I have to throw in the fact that the school's are wonderful.)
Hope to one day be part of this network for real!
5. What is a talent
that you possess?
I’m pretty good at finding the most expensive item in a
store and liking it the best. I wish I was joking… Also, I’m pretty good at
making the best homemade chocolate chip cookies.
6. What is your most
prized possession {other than family}?
Hmm, probably the giant photo album my mom made for me on
Shutterfly for my high school graduation present. My mom took (and still takes)
an obnoxious amount of pictures of our family growing up, and I’m so thankful.
Now I get to look back on times I can’t even remember and I cherish the book
with close to one thousand pictures in it.
I’m also a pretty big fan of my laptop, because what the heck would I do
without it?
So glad my mom captured every birthday and so many days in between!
7. What single
quality do you most appreciate in people?
I appreciate authenticity. If someone is genuine, I
appreciate that more than anything. Be yourself, people!
8. What single
quality do you most appreciate in yourself?
I love my passion for life.
9. What's your guilty
pleasure?
Right now it’s definitely reality tv. So cliché, but when
you’re DVRing Rich Kids of Beverly Hills and Dance Moms, it’s time to accept it
for what it is.
Funemployed and fabuluxe.
10. What is your
favorite blog {other than your own}?
Again, I’m gonna have to go with Love, Sex, and Pizza,
because I have way too many favorite real-life blogs to list!
11. What is one thing
you have learned from blogging that you didn't know before?
HTML. Ha, kidding (kind of….). I really have learned a lot
about connecting with other people and how internet friendships don’t have to
be creepy :)
Mary's Questions:
1. How did you pick your
blog name?
Holla! Same question as Megan’s number one!
2. Name a food/meal you could eat everyday for a week?
Probably homemade mashed potatoes and gravy, a la Thanksgiving
style. Or this amazing pico de gallo and
queso from this super authentic Mexican place down my street… Ooh, or Ben and
Jerry’s Half Baked ice cream… Sweet mother of pearl, that stuff is good. (Can
you tell I like food?)
3. If your life were a movie, which movie star would play you?
Probably the little girl who played Matilda, because I looked
just like her as a child. Seriously, it’s weird. However, if I was trying to
glam it up and make myself feel like a superstar, I’d recruit J-Law. Or Emma
Stone. Obviously.
The resemblance was uncanny.
4. Who is your celebrity crush?
Last night my friends and I discussed this, and I had a crush on
Trey from Laguna Beach back in the day. For the longest time, it was Michael
Cera, hands down (don’t ask questions.), but now I’m going to have to go with
the lead singer of Bastille. The guy’s like a talented J. Crew model. (PS: no
one beats John, ever! heehee)
Singing "Pompeii," which is one of my favorites right now.
5. Do you sleep with your closet door open or closed?
Closed, duh. What, am I some kind of animal?!
6. What is your favorite topic to blog about?
Hmm, not sure. I probably need to pick a theme for this here
blog, but generally, my mind is kind of all over the place. My favorite topic
to read about is relationships, but I don’t think you guys (or John) would like
it if I gushed about him all the time!
7. What do you dip a chicken nugget in?
Ranch dressing at Chick-fil-a, Zax sauce at Zaxby’s, and if I’m
eating chicken nuggets somewhere else, what the heck am I doing?
8. Do you still live close to family?
Yes! Relatively. My little brother goes to Clemson too, our
parents are only two and a half hours away, and lots of my mom’s side of the
family lives in between there and Clemson.
9. What is a movie you could watch over and over?
Pitch Perfect, because it will always make me laugh, and
something about acapella music brings out the musical-loving dork in me.
Fat Amy is my favorite.
10. Coffee or tea?
Being the southerner I am, I don’t drink hot tea, but being the
terrible southerner I am, I can’t stand sweet tea. I’m going to lean towards
coffee, but only if it’s a light frappuccino or mocha.
11. If you were going to be on a reality TV show, which one would it be?
Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, no question. Just kidding. Probably
Say Yes to the Dress, because it would be a one time appearance and I’d never
have to do it again! I’m not trying to seem like a crazy person on TV.
Whew! So many questions!
Now I have some for my lovely
nominees….
1. You have one song and one song only you can
play for the rest of the month. What is it?
2. What are your top three must-read blogs?
3. How’d you get your
blog name?
4. What inspires you when
you’re not sure what to post?
5. What’s your favorite
blog post you’ve written so far?
6. If you could relive
one day, what would it be?
7. What’s the funniest
thing you’ve seen/read/watched lately?
8. What is one thing you
really want right now?
9. Who do you look up to the most?
10. What is something you’re passionate about?
11. Gold, or silver?
You're from Fort Mill?! No way. I'm from Rock Hill! #smallstateprobs. You're right...you and the actress of Matilda look almost exactly alike haha. Cute post! I love all your pictures!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the nomination, Chelsea! I can't wait to post (and to check out the other lovely blogs :) ). Love your Q&A and the adorable pics throughout!
ReplyDeleteNicole, keepcalmandcocoon.com
Of course! Yay, can't wait to see what you write, Nicole!!
DeleteI loved reading your answers! You look so much like the girl from Matilda it's a little scary, are you sure that wasn't you in the movie? I also LOVE Pitch Perfect, as in I could watch it all the time. In fact, I'm watching it now. Have a great weekend girl!
